A day in the life of an animal caretaker. Join Sarett naturalist and Animal Care Coordinator Hannah Lambrecht for a program all about our animal ambassadors. In this program, you will have the opportunity to assist with animal care, learn about how we manage our ambassadors and ask any questions you may have about our husbandry routines. Girl Scout Fun Day

Today we are offering Brownie Design with Nature or Junior Design with Nature programs for individual girl scouts from any troop to come out and complete. Space is limited. Registration required, please call (269) 927-4832. $10/scout. Girl Scouts of any level are welcome to join. A Sarett Fun Day patch will be awarded to all Girl Scouts who complete the day's requirements but the merit badge patches must be acquired on your own.

Enjoy this afternoon kayaking down the St. Joseph River. See migrating birds and the last of the summer wildflowers. Meet at Sarett. We will provide the kayak, paddle, PFD and naturalist expertise. Sarett 60th Year Celebration Paw Paw River Paddle

Explore the Paw Paw River between Sarett’s main property and the Brown Sanctuary. You will start this two hour paddle by putting in at River Tower and taking out at Brown Sanctuary. Along the way you will see huge sycamores and silver maple trees. Cardinal flower will be in full bloom too. The river contains many logs and trees to maneuver around, therefore only those with some kayaking experience should sign up. Please call 269-927-4832 to register. Members/ $20, Non-Members/ $25.
