Silver Foxes: Tracks & Other Signs
Visit with a naturalist to learn how to identify a wide range of different tracks and other signs left behind by animals in the winter. An optional winter walk will be included to look for some animal tracks. Silver Fox programs are designed for people 55 & older who like to be active and learn something new. Sound Medicine Sound Journey
Join Adrienne and Luke the owners of Sound Medicine Collective for a very relaxing afternoon here at Sarett.
They will use special instruments such as a wall of gongs, hand pan, mantra/voice, crystal bowls, drums, chimes, Tibetan bowls, and Crystal Tones alchemy bowls during the sound bath to take you into a deep relaxed state.
Please bring what you need to be comfortable resting on the floor. We suggest a yoga mat, blanket, and pillows for the most comfortable experience.

Owl Prowl
It is the start of the nesting season for owls, so they are very vocal at night. Join Sarett naturalists to learn about owls at Sarett and meet our owl ambassadors. Later you will go out on the trails to look, listen, and call for owls. You must call to register, 269-927-4832. Space is limited! Member/$5, Non-Member/$8, Children/$3.
Winter Bird Outing
Join us for a winter bird outing to where the birds are—it could be Allegan State Game Area for eagle watching or to Muskegon for a variety of birds. Plan to make a day of it. Lavender Adventurers: Drawing Animals
Join a Sarett naturalist and some of our ambassador animals to learn the basics of animal drawing, covering basic animal anatomy, simple exercises, and experimenting with various media. Bob Ross and Rosé
Sarett is teaming up with a local winery for an evening of art and libations as we follow along with a seasonal Bob Ross tutorial, looking out over the happy trees in our Great Room. Interested in making your own maple syrup? Join Sarett naturalists as we show you the basics of going from maple tree to delicious gold in a bottle! You will learn about the variety of methods to harvest sap from pioneer to modern day. We will finish the class with a cooking demonstration of taking maple sap to syrup and then syrup to candy. Space is limited.

Indoor Mini Golf at the Nature Center
Join us for a day of fun and food by participating in our indoor mini golf outing. Teams of 4 can sign up for a tee time HERE or by calling (269) 927-4832 Ext 101. Tee times are every 45 minutes starting at Noon and ending at 7:30 pm. We will have the food, snacks, and drinks available at the Watering Hole snack bar. Prizes will be given for a hole in one and for best golf attire. Cost is $30/member team of four and $35/non-member team of four. Additional team members may be added for $5/person.

Nelson the Wildlife Guy!
Join us for this fun, hands-on, and educational experience meeting animals from all over the world. We will have three programs at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, & 3:00 pm. Birding for Beginners
Are you interested in learning more about birds? Maybe you want to start a new and exciting hobby? Look no further! Sarett’s Birding for Beginners class is for you! This introduction will cover everything you need to know whether you are wondering which birds are visiting your feeders or if you want to go far afield. We will even provide binoculars for you to use during class time. Member/ $30, Non-Member/ $42 for all seven classes OR Member/ $5, Non-Member/ $7 per class. Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count
Birdwatchers are needed! We are looking for volunteers to count birds as a part of Audubon's annual Christmas Bird Count event to create a census of birds. Volunteers will cover a small area in the official count area and drive around to tally up all the birds they see. To volunteer, please call (269) 927-4832 or email Mike at mikem@sarett.org.

Nothing beats the smell of evergreens in the crisp winter air. Create your own wreath for the holiday season. Greens, tools, wire and ribbon/bows will be provided. Jasper Pulaski Wildlife Refuge Trip
Join Sarett naturalists for an excursion to Indiana’s Jasper Pulaski Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is well known for its staging tens of thousands of sandhill cranes. Bring a sack supper as we will be staying until dark to watch the cranes fly in to spend the night. Meet at Sarett. Dress warmly. $15/Member, $20/Non-member. Please call to register, (269) 927-4832.

Sarett Scouts of America Fun Day
Today we are offering both the Bear: Fur, Feathers, and Ferns or Webelo: Into the Woods programs for individual Cub Scouts from any troop to come out and complete. Space is limited. Registration required, please call (269) 927-4832. $10/scout. Scouts of any level are welcome to join. A Sarett Fun Day patch will be awarded to all scouts who complete the day's requirements but the merit badge patches must be acquired on your own.
