Sarett Nature Center is located in Benton Harbor, MI on Benton Center Road, north of Red Arrow Highway. We focus on environmental education, but our nature center is open to the public to enjoy our trails. We also offer live animal displays, a butterfly house during the warm months, a nature play area for kids, cross-country ski rentals, snowshoe rentals, informational displays, naturalist-led natural history trips around the world, and interactive naturalist programs for the whole family throughout the year!
Our main Nature Center Building is closed at this time, but our trails remain open to the public. There is one porta potty available by the trailhead. Our office hours where we are reachable by phone are the following:
Tuesday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
Sunday: 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
Monday: Offices closed, Trails open
Our trails are open every day from dawn to dusk.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the trails.
We are officially closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
