Common Snapping Turtle

Snapping TurtleCommon snapping turtles are native to Michigan and most of eastern United States. They are Michigan’s largest turtle and can grow up to almost two feet! Snapping turtles have long necks that help them defend themselves against predators and catch fish while they sit at the bottom of a pond or lake.

We have one juvenile snapping turtle living inside at Sarett, and even some that visit our pond just outside our front doors. Visit them today!
