Plan for the outdoor treasure hunt by preparing a safety plan, using the technology of the Global Positioning System, and choosing an appropriate cache. After locating local caches, begin to plan for an event of your own. The Nature Center will provide 18 GPS units for instruction.

Learn to identify various bird species by sketching and labeling key identification points found in field guides and by learning different bird songs. Compare and practice with binocular aids as you find specimens for your own field notebook. Entice birds to your backyard for further study by building a bird feeder.

Spend a day with our knowledgeable instructors learning the basics of kayaking, including multiple paddle strokes and water safety. All equipment provided. NOTE: BSA swimmer test must be completed before attending this workshop.
