Maple Sugar Magic

March 13, Sunday, 2:00 PM - Welcome early spring with a “how to” demonstration on maple sugaring. Enjoy a talk and a stroll through the woods to learn how maple syrup is made. Saturday Birding Bunch

March 19, Saturday, 8:00 PM - Welcome back the spring migrants with Sarett’s annual Saturday morning Birding Bunch. These gatherings are designed for birders of all levels. Bring your binoculars and a desire to learn about and see birds. Please meet at designated locations. Member $45 for all sessions or $5/session. Non-member $72 for all sessions or $8/session. March 19, Saturday, 1:00-3:30 PM - Learn about local and migrating birds in Southwest Michigan from a Sarett Naturalist and how to sketch and paint them with KAC Teaching Artist David Baker! Students will observe bird behaviors from the large windows at Sarett, and listen to their chirps while taking notes, drawing and painting in sketchbooks. Stewardship Day

March 20, Sunday, 1:00-3:00 PM - Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn identification of key native and invasive species as well as learn the importance of native plant ecosystems.
