A note from our new director, Nate Fuller

After giving over 37 years to Sarett, Dianne is ready to enjoy her well-earned retirement. Her mischievous smile and wit have not changed a bit from when I first moved to Michigan as an intern for Sarett almost 25 years ago.
Dianne has served Sarett and the conservation community of Berrien County in many roles over many years and while we don’t want her to move on, we do wish her and her husband Rob many grand outdoor adventures in the years to come. I am excited to be joining the amazing team of naturalists at Sarett who share their over 65 years of collective experience with the children, families, and communities of southwest Michigan.
Sarett is where I began my professional career, where I learned how to share my enthusiasm for nature, and even where I met a lovely naturalist named Erin who would become my wife! For the past 18 years I’ve been working for Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy helping protect and steward natural areas. My experiences there taught me much about the powerful connection people have with the land they love.
Sarett Nature Center has been helping build connections between people and nature since it began in 1963. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue this legacy. Please come visit us at the nature center this summer, bring a friend, and celebrate your connection to nature!
